WWE taped an episode of Main Event prior to Monday Night RAW in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today that will air on Hulu this Friday at 7pm. Here are the results:

  • Emma defeated Mickie James

And you guys say WWE isn’t using Emma.

Asuka Passes Another Milestone

Casey at Squared Circle Sirens:

As of today it has been 484 days since Asuka defeated Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Dallas and became NXT Women’s champion.

She has now officially surpassed New Day’s reign (483) and, Asuka is now 8th longest reigning champion in the history of WWE.

in 19 days she will surpass Rockin Robin’s WWE Women’s Title reign, which would make her the second longest reigning women’s champion behind Moolah’s several year long reign.

For the stats fans.

Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley added to WWE SummerSlam card

Joseph Currier:

After the fatal four-way for the Universal Championship was announced for SummerSlam earlier in the show, another match was later confirmed for the pay-per-view on tonight’s episode of Raw.

There are now three matches officially set for SummerSlam on August 20th. Naomi will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya, and Brock Lesnar will put his Universal title up for grabs in a fatal four-way match against Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Roman Reigns.

Wait, hold on. Summerslam has two one-on-one Women’s matches? That can’t be right.

Shayna Baszler Retains AIW Women’s Championship

Ciara Reid:

Shayna Bazler was successful in her latest defense of the AIW Women’s Championship last night in Cleveland, Ohio. She defeated Mia Yim via submission and retained the title for the sixth time. The match is considered another must-see from these two performers by those in attendance for “Absolution XII.”

Consciously trying to watch more women’s wrestling has an interesting side-effect: you find whole new titles, promotions, and great performers you never knew existed.

Tessa Blanchard Wins the Lady of the Ring Championship

Ciara Reid:

It was winner takes all at last night’s WrestleCircus show in Austin, Texas, as Tessa Blanchard defeated Rachael Ellering for the Lady of the Ring Title to become a double champion. Blanchard picked up the win via Diving Codebreaker and rolled Ellering up for the pinfall to successfully retain her Sideshow Championship and become the new Lady of the Ring Champion. The matchup was the first time that women closed out a WrestleCircus show, making it a historical moment for both competitors.

I’ll have to catch up on this one later.
